How many times has someone in your life told you need to have a backup plan for when things don't work out? Steven Burke has spent a large portion of his life learning how to organize and adapt to situation from dealing with undiagnosed ADHD growing up, working around both his parents's mental health issues, his two decade long career in law as a Civil Trial attorney, to working as a History and Social Studies Teacher. We discuss many things from adaptation to trying to show students multiple sides of an important issue, the importance of voting, how parents can be supportive of children who deal with mental health challenges and so much more.

I have raised two neurodiverse children, both adults today. I was an attorney for 23 years and retired from law to teach. Now I teach grades 6-12 at a school where every student struggles with mental health issues. It is a challenging position, but very rewarding.
