Karen Laven is a former newspaper reporter and author of Cincinnati Ghosts and Dayton Ghosts as well as several humor books and a Young Adult Sci-Fi book. In addition to writing Karen has acted in film, stage, TV and commercials. She wrote a fifteen minute piece on her struggles with agoraphobia/shyness and performed it live on stage at True Theatre in Cincinnati (and lived to tell about it!). She plays the mother of the main character in the movie, Mothman, which is streaming on Amazon Prime and Tubi, and recently shot a short film produced by the writer of Rudy and Hoosiers.
