Vahen King is a remarkable individual who wears many hats. With her accomplishments as an author, international speaker, and model of diversity, she has made a significant impact in various fields. Beyond her professional endeavors, Vahen is also a strong advocate for mental health, and through her non-profit organization, GoingFarther.org, dedicates time and resources to support induvials in their spiritual, emotional and mental health journey in anyway she can.
At the age of 23, one week after her engagement, Vahen contracted Transverse Myelitis, a virus that left her physically disabled and dependent on the use of a wheelchair. Any hopes or dreams she had for her future came crashing down. Fears, insecurities and self-doubt because her prison. That's where she was, but that's not where she stayed.
While Vahen excels in her diverse pursuits, she also seeks new adventures that push the boundaries of courage. Whether it's skydiving or parasailing, she fearlessly embraces thrilling experiences, proving that not even a disability will hold her back.
In 2017, Vahen achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first-ever Miss Wheelchair Canada, a title that recognized her grace, beauty, and character. Her journey continued as she went on to win the prestigious Miss Kindness World title. These accolades, alongside receiving the Women of Inspiration; Influencer award in 2021, demonstrate the profound impact Vahen's message and presence have had on others.
Among all her achievements, Vahen considers her greatest accomplishment to be the positive impact she is making in the lives of many.
