Advocate

Shelby Travers is a 31-year-old Canadian advocate for the blind community. Through her work experience in media, and advocacy, Shelby, who goes by 'that one blind girl you know' on social media, has tailored her voice to a lens of comedy to break down social and justice barriers for her community. After suffering a stroke at the age of 14, she has since lived with an acquired brain injury and blindness. She is a runner, hiker, skater, gardener, and challenger of the status quo.
