Lauren Grier was born November 16th 1991. She is a 30 year old
African American who currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. Lauren,
was born with a disability called Cerebral Palsy Spastic
Quadriplegia, to get around on a daily Lauren uses her motorize
power wheelchair and gets assistance with her 24 hours home
health aides services. Even though Lauren was born with a long
term disability, she learned how to cope with her differences at
a very young age. She was always nice, happy, positive person
and always had a big smile on her face even when times was
difficult.
Her positivity and her motivation Lauren was able to achieve
many goals, such as receiving a bachelors degree in business in
2016 and a masters degree in business administration with a
concentration in management in 2017. Recently, Lauren had
the opportunity to start her dream career by being selected to
be apart of Runway Of Dreams in New York’s Fashion Week,
modeling for Target adaptive clothing. She was thrilled to be
offered this wonderful opportunity because since Lauren was
young her sense of fashion and styling herself was everything to
her. She loves fashion so much. The experience was amazing
Lauren rocked the runway while bringing inclusion to the
runway.
Since modeling for Runway Of Dreams , She is now currently being
managed by two non-exclusive modeling/talent companies called Gamut Management and Zebedee Talent Management
who represents people with disabilities to create a marketplace
where businesses and industries can connect with us. In January 2022, She was in a ad for Planned Parenthood “Bans Off Bodies” campaign to fight against the overturning of Roe v Wade, which eventually caught the attention of, and was later retweeted by our 44th President Barack Obama.
She also did a few background acting roles movie Marvel Madame Web starring Dakota Johnson and shows such as Survival Of The Thickness S1, and was featured in Power Book III Raising Kanan S3 starring Mekai Curtis.
In her spare time
Lauren is trying to build her social media content up and
become a social media influencer to help spread awareness for
people with disabilities and help bring inclusivity to all brands.
Becoming a model and also being an aspiring actress, director
and influencer has always been a dream of hers. Fashion and
beauty has always been the love of my life because she is able
to show her creativity and her personality.
