Don't Think it Ink It with Caitie Brianna

Don't Think it Ink It with Caitie Brianna

The phrase Don't Think it ink it was coined by Mark Victor Hansen the founder and co creator for the Chicken Soup for The Soul book series. Our guest Caitie Brianna has used her love of drawing and tattooing as the chicken soup for her soul for the last 15 years and is now opening up her first shop Bone and Lilly Tattoo in  Knoxville, Tennessee in July. Hear Caitie's unique journey growing up in Virginia, living with undiagnosed Autism and ADHD for years, her influences in the industry such as her mentor Kate Cook, Jesse Smith, and Chris Núñez from tv's Ink Master, as well how the industry has evolved in different parts of the world from being the tattoo taboo to more opportunities for women to work in and receive excellent tattoo opportunities. The journey of Caitie Brianna from struggling with Autism and ADHD to becoming a successful artist is just as colourful as the work she creates which you can find in the links below. We here at the Sit Down Stand Out Show wish Caitie Brianna the best of luck with The Bone and Lilly Tattoo shop until next time Keep Calm and Roll On.

Tattoo Artist / Entrepreneur

Caitie Brianna is a tattoo artist and business owner in Knoxville, Tennessee. She has been immersed in art since her earliest memories and has a personal passion for mental health, creating a safe space for people of all backgrounds and abilities. Growing up with undiagnosed autism and ADHD in rural South and raised by a mentally ill single mother, she developed a profound interest in understanding her own mind and the human psyche from a very young age. Through years of extensive reading, introspection, and working with various therapists, she has seen her life bloom. From being a traumatized high school dropout working a long string of dead-end jobs, she has become a successful artist and entrepreneur who uses her voice to amplify messages of health and community.
